Beach and sports

I love nothing better than heading to the beach. So when a friend asked if I could make her a sign about how life is better at the beach, I jumped on it!

For those of you who don't know me too well-I love basketball. I played in high school and college but since I  have had kids, I haven't done much of playing it or watching it. Since I live in the heart of ACC country-I thought I should make some ACC signs. Now-I am not going to say which team I am partial to but here are  2 signs that I have so far. One is in the making. Enjoy!

We've got wood!

So my husband has stocked our house with over 4,000 square feet of reclaimed wood. I was 8 months pregnant at the time he dropped the bombshell on me. Now-if you know anything about me, it's that I really don't like clutter. If you know anything about my husband, it's that he really likes to keep a lot of things. I was NOT too happy about the new addition to our house. Then a few weeks later, he informed me that he bought 2 tobacco barns to tear down. OH BOY!  

But...we have decided to make good with the wood and create fun things with them. My husband is going to be making all kinds of objects and I will be creating signs. 

The wood we have is Heartwood Pine flooring from an old pub in downtown Raleigh and is over 90 years old. The wood from the tobacco barns is Pine and are between 70-80 years old.
